David Morris meeting Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi

Over a thirty-year career, David has contributed to building engagement, understanding and partnerships between leaders from the Asia Pacific, Europe and the United States.

He established and served as founding Executive Director of the University of Sydney China Studies Centre and is a member of the Advisory Board of the Budapest-based Institute for Cultural Relations Policy.

After studying Ireland’s strategic partnership approach, David played a central role bringing stakeholders together in the world’s biggest deliberative democracy project of its time, Tasmania Together.

Partnerships between government, business and civil society are critical to achieving the United Nations 17 Global Goals agreed by the world’s leaders in 2015 and for which David actively works in his role with the Sustainable Business Network of the UN Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific.
